Verification of the correct implementation of monitoring plans in compliance with the Emissions Trading Directive across the client's four production sites in Italy. Through semi-annual audits, we ensured compliance with issued permits, current national and European regulations, and the emissions monitoring plan, as well as its proper application for determining the CO₂ quantities emitted by each facility.

Scenario

Following the company's inclusion in the scope of the Emissions Trading Directive, it became necessary to verify that the management of the ETS system complied with current regulatory requirements and the monitoring plans approved by the competent authority.

Solution

Through semi-annual audits, we have ensured that our authorization remains in compliance with Legislative Decree 30/2013, which implements Directive 2009/29/EC amending Directive 2003/87/EC to improve and extend the European Union greenhouse gas emission allowance trading system, as well as ensuring that our emissions monitoring plan complies with the requirements of Regulation (EU) No 601/2012, which replaced Decision 2007/589/EC.
