Initial Client situation
Our Client operates in the field of the production of food products, both pre-cooked and frozen, at its production plant in Milan. With a view to optimizing environmental performance, our Customer has decided to equip their Plant with a pre-treatment and / or purification plant capable of treating wastewater from production processes, in order to make it suitable for discharge into the municipal sewer network, in compliance with the limits imposed by the network manager. For this purpose, he needed to consult sector companies to prepare estimates for the “turnkey” supply of the new pre-treatment and / or purification system so that it would be technically effective in relation to the purification needs of the plant, ensuring continuity in compliance limits on discharge and at the same time ensuring the necessary economic sustainability of the initiative.
SHELTER activities
Through our technical support, we have provided our willingness to identify the best available technical solution in the industrial sector for the treatment of the plant’s industrial waste in accordance with the law, through:
- Analysis of the production cycle: identification of the production cycles and flows that generate industrial wastewater;
- Drafting of the project bases: identification of the project bases in terms of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the wastewater to be treated, discharge limits, areas available for the installation of process equipment and products, management of the transitional and construction site phases and environmental safeguards;
- Preliminary evaluation of the possible treatment systems: first considerations and considerations on the treatment systems applicable for the treatment of the waste in question and evaluation of the compatibility with the project bases;
- Preparation of the Technical Specification for the supply of a new pre-treatment plant dedicated to industrial waste water aimed at achieving the limits envisaged for delivery to the public sewer network;
- Evaluation and technical-economic alignment of the offers received from the third-party companies interviewed and technical assistance in the supplier selection process;
- On-call assistance service.
